Peculiar scenery in Zhangjiajie include unusually shaped pillars, hidden valleys, seas of clouds, and limestone caves. He is one of China's must-see attractions. The Wulingyuan Scenic Area is where Zhangjiajie's major attractions are situated. The gorgeous area's natural landscape is stunning, consisting of soaring sandstone mesas, thick forests, and deep valleys. The most well-known portion of it is Zhangjiajie National Forest Park.

HOW TO REACH ZHANGJIAJIE

  • Flight - Direct flights from Beijing to Zhangjiajie. are the most convenient, as Beijing is the Capital City, it has international as well as domestic flights available. If you can't get tickets in person, you can fly to Changsha and then take a plane, train, or long-distance bus to Zhangjiajie.
  • Rail - If you don't like long trips, why not consider traveling by train? Trains from Beijing to Changsha often run from Beijing West Railway Station to Changsha South Railway Station. Beijing being the Capital City, it has a well-connected rail-system that keeps the cities in China connected to each other.

HOW TO GET AROUND

  • Taxi - Traveling around Zhangjiajie by taxi is easy and affordable. The fare is 5 yuan within 1.6 km, and 1.6 yuan per km beyond. Taking a taxi from anywhere in the city to Zhangjiajie Railway Station and Zhangjiajie Hehua International Airport is very convenient and costs only RMB 15-20. When taking a taxi, ask the driver to keep the meter running.
  • Bus - Buses operate in Zhangjiajie and offer very reasonable fares between downtown Zhangjiajie, Zhangjiajie Hehua International Airport, Zhangjiajie Train Station, Tujia Minority People's Park and Puguang Temple.
  • Cable Car - Zhangjiajie's attractions are a huge system, especially when it comes to Wulingyuan Scenic Area (Zhangjiajie National Forest Park, Yuanjiajie, Tianzishan, Yangjiajie) and Tianmen Mountain. Within the Wulingyuan Scenic Area, there are hiking opportunities, a free sightseeing bus, a paid Bailong elevator, and three cable car lines of your choice. To go up and down Tianmen Mountain, you can take the 99-turn sightseeing bus or the Tianmen Mountain Cable Car.
