Xi'an - Home To Terracotta Army
The most well-known sight in Xi'an, a city in central China, may be the Terracotta Warriors and Horses, but the best way to experience ancient China's cuisine is to eat some of the excellent noodles, buns, and dumplings in Shaanxi province's capital. Once the starting point of the Silk Road, Xi'an cuisine has not only one of the longest culinary histories in the world, but also one of the richest. The city was home to various religions during the Tang Dynasty, and many cultures have contributed to shaping Xi'an cuisine, with a particularly strong Islamic influence. The city's Muslim quarter has become a gastronomic haven for both locals and tourists.
