HOW TO REACH PLAYA DEL CARMEN

  • Flight - Playa Del Carmen is 35 kilometers from Cancun International Airport (CUN). You can easily travel from the airport to your hotel by taking an ADO bus or scheduling a private transport for about $500 Mex. It only costs Mex$146 to take a van from the airport to Playa Del Carmen. Every 30 minutes a bus departs, and the journey shouldn't last more than an hour. You can catch the ADO bus to get to the Playa bus stop on Benito Juarez Avenue and Fifth Avenue (Avenida 5). If you'd prefer to take a taxi, the expense to get to Playa del Carmen from the airport should be about Mex$650.
  • Road - Highway 307 travels directly south from Cancun to Playa Del Carmen. The airport and nearby locations offer a variety of choices for car rentals. There are foreign brands like Alamo, Avis, and Europcar. Services to Playa Del Carmen are provided by ADO transport and Mayab from Cancun, Coba, Tulum, among other locations.
  • Sea - Taking a boat from Cozumel Island to the Riviera Maya is an additional means of transportation. You can listen to music and take in stunning sea vistas while traveling.

HOW TO GET AROUND

  • On Foot - Playa del Carmen is a place that is simple to get around on foot or by bicycle, particularly since the main drag, La Quinta Avenida, is pedestrian-only.
  • Taxi - The cost of fares in the central part of Playa del Carmen should not exceed $2, but the trip from El Zócalo to Playacar will cost you about $5. Before getting in the cab, don't forget to clarify the fare with the driver.
