HOW TO REACH LOS CABOS

  • Flight - Just 8 miles to the north of San Jose del Cabo and 23 miles from Cabo San Lucas is where you'll find the Los Cabos International Airport (SJD). Around 40 locations are served by the 550 weekly operations in Los Cabos.
  • Ferry - The most unusual method to travel to Cabo San Lucas is probably by boat. The daily ferries that commute both visitors and residents between Mazatlan and La Paz, one of the nearest big cities to Los Cabos, are well known to seasoned travelers. The best method to get to Cabo while touring Mexico and seeking to take in more of the ocean is to board a ferry.

HOW TO GET AROUND

  • Rental - Renting a car is the most convenient and cost-effective method to experience everything Los Cabos has to offer. However, you should exercise caution when traveling outside of the tourist regions because highway robberies have been known to happen. Both inside the airport and in the downtown area are hire car companies.
  • Water Taxi - To transport visitors from cruise ships and other groups to Cabo's well-known beaches, such as Playa del Amor (which is situated close to the famous Land's End rock formation) or Playa Médano, water taxis are gathered near the downtown harbor.
  • Bus - A common starting point for daytrips is Los Cabos. To get to outlying towns like Todos Santos and La Paz, you can board a bus from a terminal that is about a 10-minute drive from Cabo San Lucas.
  • On Foot - The downtown regions of both Cabo San Lucas and San José del Cabo are where most of the action happens, making it simple to navigate both cities on foot. However, you'll need a rental vehicle if you intend to visit attractions that are farther away.
