HOW TO REACH HUANGSHAN
- Flight - Huangshan Tunxi International Airport is an international airport mainly used by tourists to Huangshan. Till date, the airport has opened more than 20 airlines on both domestic, international and regional routes, connecting Huangshan City and Beijing, Xi'an, Chengdu, Guilin, Hong Kong, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Chongqing, Hefei, Zhengzhou, Wuhan and Taipei, connecting Busan, Incheon (Seoul), Singapore and other cities. Huangshan Tunxi Airport is located 60 kilometers south of the Huangshan Scenic Area (about an hour's drive).
- Rail - Today, the fast, clean, convenient and punctual high-speed bullet train is also popular with Huangshan tourists. There are daily bullet trains to Huangshan City from many of China's major tourist cities, including Beijing, Shanghai, Xi'an, Hangzhou and Guangzhou. Upon arrival, a shuttle bus runs from the railway station to Huangshan. This makes high-speed train passengers very comfortable.
- Road - In addition to flights and trains, direct long-distance travel from Hefei, Yixian, Kexian, Jiuhuashan in Anhui, Shanghai, Hangzhou, Nanjing, Wuhan, and other cities in neighboring Zhejiang, Jiangsu and Hubei provinces still have many buses running around. It is recommended to take the bus to Tangkou Town instead of the bus to Tunxi. This means fewer transfers, just one more trip from Tangkou to Huangshan.
HOW TO GET AROUND
- Taxi - It is much more convenient for foreigners in Huangshan to take a taxi. However, be aware that very few taxi drivers speak or understand English. So it's a good idea to have your hotel or other destination business card written in Chinese to make sure the driver knows where you're going.
- Public Bus - There are a total of 13 bus routes in the city, most of which are his 1 yuan. All bus information is in Chinese and there is no transfer. There is no direct bus between the city center and Huangshan Scenic Area.
- Auto - There are many rickshaws in front of Huangshan Station. Often the departure fee is 2 yuan per person he he, but most drivers will negotiate a specific fee according to their destination. Remember to bargain hard if the price is too high.
