HOW TO REACH CHENGDU

  • Flight - Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport is located only about 10 miles from downtown Chengdu. It is the main international airport serving Chengdu and was also the main hub to western China before the opening of Tianfu International Airport. Many domestic and foreign travel destinations are connected to Chengdu, visiting the hometown of giant pandas.
  • Rail - Traveling through China by train is the most popular way to reach most cities, including Chengdu. Currently, there are four railway stations in him: Chengdu North Railway Station (also known as Chengdu Railway Station), Chengdu East Railway Station (the largest bullet train station in Chengdu), Chengdu South Railway Station and Chengdu West Railway Station.

  • Bus - Chengdu is the largest highway hub in Southwest China, with six national highways intersecting, including Routes 108 and 319. Many long-distance railway stations in the Chengdu metropolitan area run in different directions, including all cities in Sichuan province such as Emei, Dunjiangyan, Jiuzhaigou and Leshan. Bus stops frequently used by tourists are Chadianzi Passenger Station and Chengdu Xinnanmen Station.
  • Taxi - Taxis are always the most convenient way to get around the city. Chengdu charges CNY 9 for the first 3 km within a 15 km radius and CNY 1.9 for each additional km from 5am to 11pm.
