Witnessing the Sacred Inauguration of the Ram Mandir

Starting on January 16th, the "Pran Pratishtha ceremony" ; at Ayodhya Ram Mandir will last seven days, with "Pre-Prana sacraments" from January 16-21 . The consecration of Shri Ram Lalla is scheduled for January 22. Over 8,000 guests including about 100 representatives from abroad are expected on the consecration day. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to attend the ceremony on January 22. The idol will be placed in the temple's 'Garbh Griha' on January 18.

 

Track to Ayodhya: Schedule & Available Trains

Train schedules will be affected by doubling tracks and prioritizing electrification, with nearly 35 trains running alternate routes and 14 other trains disrupted. Ten trains, including Vande Bharat, have been cancelled, and the Ayodhya Cantt to Anand Vihar Vande Bharat Express was previously cancelled until January 15. The cancellation has been extended until January 22.

 

Although, popular train routes from Delhi to Ayodhya include the Vande Bharat Express, Kaifiyat Express, and Farada Express. Lucknow to Ayodhya is a shorter, 3-4 hour journey, while Varanasi to Ayodhya is connected by several overnight trains, including Jammu Tawi Express, Ganga Sutlej Express, Doon Express, and Ahmedabad Sabarmati Express. Paths to Resurrection: Bus Routes

Regular bus services are operated by the Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (UPSRTC) between Ayodhya and other cities such as Lucknow, Faizabad, and Gorakhpur. These buses are an affordable option, especially when travelling small distances. Private bus companies provide a variety of routes as well, giving passengers more choices.

Although Ayodhya has its own airport which is under development currently. Therefore, Lucknow's Chaudhary Charan Singh International Airport serves as the main air gateway here. For individuals arriving from a distance, major airlines provide a handy choice by offering both domestic and international connections. There are plenty of taxis and buses at the airport to take visitors on the 130-kilometer, pleasant trip to Ayodhya.

 The Temple Trust plans events focusing on diverse representation, historic tribal representation, and tradition inclusivity. On January 22, industrialists, political leaders, sportsmen, and celebrities will attend the consecration ceremony, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi attending the installation of Ram Lalla's idol at the temple. Some of the famous attendees include Virat Kohli, MS Dhoni, Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Mukesh Ambani and Ratan Tata.

 

The Mandir's Journey: The Construction Status

The Shri Ram Mandir in Ayodhya is being constructed by Larsen & Toubro (L&T) and a section of this temple is set to be inaugurated in January 2024. The project, which began on August 5, 2020, is part of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra trust. The "Pran Pratishtha" ceremony is scheduled for January 22, 2024, and the project is expected to be completed by December 2024.
